A New Generation Continues the Tradition

When Anthony P. Catelli, Sr. established Anthony Catelli Wholesale Meats in Philadelphia in 1946, his strict attention to detail and determination to be the best served as the foundation of Catelli Brothers today. Sons Tony and Jim, along with Antoinette Catelli, launched Catelli Brothers in 1981.

Today Catelli Brothers is not only one of the largest veal and lamb companies in the U.S., employing more than 250 people, but also is a major producer of high quality, fresh, easy-to-prepare consumer food products that now include veal, lamb, chicken, and beef.

Fontelli Food Group: A New Era

When Catelli Brothers merged in 2010 with a premier veal farmer and an outstanding feed company, one of the largest veal and lamb organizations in the U.S. was created. The Fontelli Food Group, one of the largest vertically integrated veal companies in the country, oversees all phases of production and supply of veal and the processing and fabrication of lamb. Fontelli Food Group offers a broad range of products — from the finest quality feed to responsible farming of superior calves to customized cuts of veal and American and imported lamb for the food service and consumer retail industries.

Each of the merged companies — Catelli Brothers, Delimax Veal Inc. and NRV — continue to operate under their respective banners, but now such brands as Catelli Brothers, Catelli Brothers Italian Bistro and Summit Ridge can be offered to the retail and food service industries both on a regional and national basis.
